Videos can easily be uploaded and stored in Imageshop. To play video files directly within the solution and utilize the available video functionality, your organization must have the video module enabled.
Note: The video module is an additional module in Imageshop and carries an extra cost. If your company wishes to activate this module, please contact us at support@imageshop.no.
With the video module, you can play videos in various resolutions. Imageshop customer support can also configure custom, tailored versions for your company, which are generated automatically every time you upload a new video file.
Global video and audio settings
Under the main video settings (shown in the screenshot below), you can activate automatic subtitles for videos. Imageshop will then transcribe the audio and generate a subtitle file based on the language spoken in the video you upload. From these settings, you can also block the display of specific internal video formats and thumbnails. These are files used by Imageshop for internal system processes and are generally of no interest to regular users in the image bank.

Settings for individual videos
When you navigate to the document page of a single video, you will find a complete overview of the file under the «Format» tab. This displays the uploaded original video, the automatic versions generated by Imageshop, accompanying subtitle files, and any additional versions that have been uploaded manually. You can manage the visibility of each individual line by toggling the display on or off for external interfaces. By clicking the pencil icon (edit), you can customize the text in the left column. This is the text that becomes visible to users in the image bank.
Standard video versions
Imageshop automatically generates the following standard formats upon upload:
| Format | Resolution (Width x Height) |
|---|---|
| MP4 | 320 x 180 px |
| MP4 | 480 x 270 px |
| MP4 | 1920 x 1080 px (Full HD) |
If your organization requires other formats or fixed resolutions, please contact us at support@imageshop.no.
Managing and editing subtitles
You can download the machine-generated subtitle file, open it in a text editor (such as Notepad) to correct any mistakes, and upload it again.
