Imageshop Designer is an advanced tool for creating templates and designs based on text, images, and other elements. These can in turn be exported to PDF or as image files. Administrators can create templates and assign access to the Designer for other users.
Standard users who have been granted access will find the Designer as a dedicated menu item in Imageshop. As a standard user, you can create your own designs, but you do not have the ability to change the page format. You can also work within existing templates created by an administrator or editor.
Standard features
In the menu on the far right, you will find standard functions for saving, deleting, creating new documents, and exporting. Only administrators and editors have the rights to delete templates or choose «Save as template». When a template is saved, it automatically becomes available in Imageshop's administration panel and can be distributed further to the desired interfaces.

Templates
Templates are shared and available across the entire organization. They can be used by all standard users with access to the Designer, but only administrators and editors can save changes, modify, or delete them. It is also possible to search for specific templates by name. If you are working within a shared template and want to keep your changes to continue working on them later, you must choose to save the document under «My Designs».

Searching for templates
Administrators can make templates available directly within the various interfaces in Imageshop. Once a template has been made available, you can search for it in the frontend just like you would search for regular documents. You can also filter the search to only display templates within the active interface by clicking on «Filter» in the left menu and selecting «Templates». If your user profile has access to the Designer, you can click directly into the editor via the template. Users without Designer access will instead be given the option to download the template as a PDF file.

My Designs
«My Designs» contains personal working files that are only visible and accessible to you. You can create a new design based on an existing template or start completely from scratch. Administrators have the rights to copy a personal design over to become a shared template. You can search for specific files within «My Designs» using a name search.

Elements you can insert on the page
In the menu on the left side, you will find various elements you can place into the editor, such as images (directly from Imageshop), text, geometric shapes, icons, your own image files, and dynamic QR codes generated on the spot.

Images
Here you get direct access to images from Imageshop across all the interfaces you have rights to. You can search using free text, which will return matches in both the image file's metadata and its associated category names.
Text
Here you can insert text boxes in various styles and formats.
Shapes
Here you will find a selection of predefined geometric shapes that can be inserted onto the page. The shapes can be filled with either colors or images. You do this by selecting the inserted shape, clicking the arrow next to «Color» (or «Image») in the menu on the right side, and selecting your preferred fill type. If you choose an image fill, you can either select an existing image from Imageshop or upload your own file directly.

Icons
Contains various predefined symbols and icons that can be freely inserted. Anything uploaded into the image bank as an SVG file will automatically appear under this menu category.
Uploads
Here you can upload your own images directly from your computer. These files will only be visible to you, and they are preserved in the system until you close the Designer window or refresh your browser page.
QR codes
Here you can generate your own QR codes based on optional text or URL addresses directly within the editor.
Editing elements
The editing options for standard users vary from template to template, depending on the restrictions and locking configurations the administrator has set. Some elements will be completely open for editing, while others are locked to preserve brand identity and ensure consistent design. If you find that an element cannot be moved or changed, it is because the administrator has restricted access to that specific element within the template.
When you click on an editable element in the Designer, you can adjust its position, size, and properties. You have the options to distribute elements horizontally or vertically, change layer placement (move above/under other objects), group elements, adjust transparency, and more. The options that appear adapt automatically based on the type of object you have highlighted. Administrators and editors have full rights to modify all elements, while standard users have limited rights within locked templates.

Certain advanced settings, such as specific text styles and font selections, are located inside the Inspector. The vast majority of daily editing choices will appear directly above the design document itself when an element is selected, so it is usually not necessary to open the Inspector while working.
