Introduction

Imageshop Designer is an advanced tool for creating templates and designs based on text, images, and other elements. These can in turn be exported to PDF or as images. Administrators can grant access to the Designer to other users.

To access the Designer as an administrator, go to "Designer" in the edit menu in the administration of Imageshop. Standard users who have access to the Designer will see Designer as a menu item in Imageshop.

Standard features

In the menu on the far right, you will find standard functions such as saving, deleting, creating new, and exporting. Only administrators and editors can delete templates and save as templates.

Templates

Templates are shared across the entire organization. These can be used by standard users who have access to the Designer but can only be saved, changed, and deleted by administrators and editors. It is possible to search for templates by name.

My Designs

My Designs are designs that are only available to you. You can create designs based on a template or from scratch. An administrator and an editor can also copy a design to a template. It is possible to search in My Designs by name.

Page format

To select the page format, you need to open the inspector. You can do this by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner.

Then you need to click on the background (the gray area behind the template) to ensure that no elements are selected to see the page format and be able to change it.

Elements You Can Insert on the Page

On the left, you will find various elements that you can insert into the editor, such as images (from Imageshop), text, shapes, stickers, your own files, and QR codes that you can generate.

Images

Here you will find images from Imageshop in all the interfaces you have access to. You can search with free text search. The free text search will match metadata and category names.

Text

Here you can insert text in different styles.

Shapes

These are shapes you can insert. You can fill shapes with images or colors. You do this by selecting the shape, clicking on Color (or Image) to the left above the image, then selecting Image in the dropdown menu to the right and clicking replace. You can then either choose an image from Imageshop or an uploaded image.

Stickers

Different predefined shapes you can insert.

Upload

Here you can upload images from your own PC. These will only be available to you and will be preserved until you close the Designer or reload the page.

QR-codes

Here you can generate QR codes from text or website addresses in the Designer.

Editing Elements on the page

After clicking on an element in the Designer, you can change the position and a number of properties of the elements. You can distribute them horizontally and vertically, move them under and over other elements, group them, make them transparent, etc. These options will appear depending on what you are allowed to do with the element and what type of element it is. Administrators and editors have all rights to change elements, while standard users can only change certain elements in templates.

Some options, such as font style, are only available in the "inspector". You can access this by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. However, most options will appear above the design, so the inspector is usually not necessary to use.
