In Imageshop, you can search for and find images and files in various ways. In this guide, you will find information on how to search through free text, use filters for categories, file types, and facial recognition (the latter is only available for databases with the AI Module).
Free Text Search
You will find a field for free text search on the homepage of the image bank and in the Home/View All tab of the user interface. You can search for words, phrases, names, and file formats. The system will display results that match the metadata added to the image/file by the administrator.
In the right panel of Home/View All, you have the option to refine your search by selecting "Only whole words." In the same panel, you can also choose to display results on a map, sort by the newest files, or completely clear the search.

Filter Files by Categories
One of Imageshop's major strengths is the use of categories. A file can be tagged with multiple categories, allowing you to narrow down your search further to find exactly what you're looking for. The available categories are determined by the database administrator. An administrator can create category trees (dropdown menus), main categories and subcategories, and tag images and files with these.
To filter by category, you can:
Select a category from the homepage

or
Select one or more categories in the sidebar

The small checkmark next to some categories indicates subcategories

Filter by Media Type and Format
In the sidebar, you will also find filters for media type and format. This is automatically generated by the system, so the administrator does not need to carry out a separate categorization for these.

Person Search in Databases with the AI Module
If the image bank has the AI module, you will be able to search for people through facial recognition. If the administrator has registered names of recognized individuals, you can also search by name in the free text search. Here is how you do it:
Hover over a face

Click the box to view all images of that person
